Produtora brasileira de cinema, teatro e televisão com 16 anos de experiência, a ARUAC Filmes visa realizar projetos de qualidade no que concerne a forma e conteúdo artísticos sempre alinhada com a criação de trabalhos autorais e na experimentação de linguagem. Com uma longa e consistente trajetória no mercado audiovisual brasileiro, teve seus filmes selecionados em festivais importantes como Cannes, Veneza, Rotterdam, Sundance, Bafici, Locarno, New Directors/New Movies (MoMA – NY), Guadalajara, Barcelona, Havana, Montreal e Tribeca.
A ARUAC também recebeu inúmeros prêmios no Brasil e no exterior, sendo o último o prêmio L'Oeil d'Or de melhor documentário no Festival de Cannes de 2016 com o filme “CINEMA NOVO”, direção de Eryk Rocha. Atualmente, prepara o longa de ficção “BREVES MIRAGENS DE SOL”, que será filmado no segundo semestre de 2017, “LUZ NOS TRÓPICOS” de Paula Gaitan e ainda "XINGU", primeira etapa da trilogia teatral “MARGENS - sobre rios, buiunas e vaga-lumes”.

With a long and consistent trajectory in the Brazilian audiovisual market, its films were selected at important festivals such as Cannes, Venice, Rotterdam, Sundance, Bafici, Locarno, New Directors/New Movies (MoMA – NY), Guadalajara, Barcelona, Havana, Montreal and Tribeca.
ARUAC also received significant awards in Brazil and abroad, the latest being the L'Oeil d'Or award for best documentary at the 2016 Cannes Festival with the film “CINEMA NOVO”, directed by Eryk Rocha. Currently, he is preparing the fiction feature “BREVES MIRAGENS DE SOL”, which will be filmed in the second half of 2017, “LUZ NOS TRÓPICOS” by Paula Gaitan and also “XINGU”, the first stage of the theatrical trilogy “MARGENS - about rivers, buiunas and fireflies".

Em 2016, Eryk teve uma retrospectiva da sua obra integral realizada pelo Festival Porto/Post/Doc em Portugal, que o considerou uma das lentes mais poéticas e explosivas do cinema brasileiro contemporâneo. Parte dos filmes do Eryk Rocha foram adquiridos pelo MoMA - Museu de Arte Moderna de Nova York, para compor o acervo permanente do museu.Eryk Rocha nasceu em Brasília, em 1978, e viveu em vários países da América Latina. Estudou cinema na Escola San Antonio de Los Baños, em Cuba, onde realizou seu primeiro longa metragem “Rocha que voa” em 2002. Além de diretor, é roteirista, produtor, montador e fotógrafo. Tem em sua filmografia 8 longas metragens, todos com extensa participação nos mais importantes festivais de cinema nacionais e internacionais, e premiações diversas, entre as quais o Olho de Ouro (L´Oeil D´or) de melhor documentário no Festival de Cannes de 2016 pelo filme ‘Cinema Novo’.

Eryk Rocha filmmaker born in Brazil in 1978, he graduated in 2002 from the film school in Los Baños, Cuba, where he directed his first feature: ROCHA QUE VOA. The film was selected in Venice, Rotterdam and other festivals, winning the Best Film award in Brazil, Argentina and Cuba. The upcoming works also collected prestigious presence in national and international events such as Cannes, Sundance, New York, Montevideo, Guadalajara, Buenos Aires, Marseille and Amsterdam. CINEMA NOVO (2016), received the L’Oeil d’Or for Best Documentary at the Cannes Film Festival. In 2021, he released his latest film ‘Edna’ which was awarded in Brazil, France, Chile, Mexico, Turkey and Italy. In 2018, Porto/postdoc as well as in 20023 Cineteca de Madrid made a retrospective of his filmography in a special tribute to the diretor. Currently he works on the films ‘The Falling Sky’ and ‘Elza’. Part of his works were acquired by MoMA and integrated into the museum's permanent collection.
GABRIELA CARNEIRO DA CUNHA

Gabriela Carneiro da Cunha nasceu no Rio de Janeiro em 1982. Atriz, diretora e pesquisadora em artes. Formada em artes cênicas pela Casa das Artes de Laranjeiras/CAL. Proponente e idealizadora do Projeto “Margens – sobre rios, crocodilos e vaga-lumes”, contemplado pela bolsa Faperj de Estímulo a Pesquisa e a Criação Artística e pela Bolsa Funarte de formação artística. Em 2015 estreou a primeira etapa do projeto com a realização da peça “Guerrilheiras ou para a terra não há desaparecidos”, direção de Georgette Fadel. Em 2019 estreou na Mitsp, a segunda etapa do projeto com a performance “Altamira 2042”. A artista foi contemplada pela bolsa da Faperj de incentivo a criação artística, experimentação e pesquisa, bem como a Bolsa de Formação Artística Funarte, Residência Oi Futuro Artsônica e Fundação Prince Claus e Instituto Goethe. E apresentou ao redor do mundo, incluindo no Centro Pompidou. Atualmente, trabalha no filme “A Queda do Céu” e na peça “Tapajós”.

Gabriela Carneiro da Cunha was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1982. Actress, director and arts researcher. Graduated in performing arts from Casa das Artes de Laranjeiras/CAL. Proponent and creator of the Project “Margens – sobre rios, crocodiles and fireflies”, awarded by the Faperj scholarship to Stimulate Research and Artistic Creation and by the Funarte scholarship for artistic training. In 2015, the first stage of the project premiered with the production of the play “Guerrillas ou para a terra não está des disappeared”, directed by Georgette Fadel. In 2019, the second stage of the project debuted at Mitsp with the performance “Altamira 2042”. The artist was awarded a Faperj grant to encourage artistic creation, experimentation and research, as well as the Funarte Artistic Training Grant, Oi Futuro Artsônica Residency and Prince Claus Foundation and Goethe Institute. And presented worldwide, including the Center Pompidou. She is currently working on the film “A Queda do Céu” and the play “Tapajós”.

Paula Gaitán nasceu em Paris, em 1954, artista visual, fotógrafa, poeta e cineasta, diplomada em Artes Visuais pela Universidade de Los Andes de Bogotá, Colômbia, Paula Gaitán trabalha com cinema desde 1978, quando participou como diretora de arte no clássico de Glauber Rocha “A Idade da Terra”. Sua carreira como autora inclui vários documentários, vídeo artes e instalações de artes plásticas em inúmeras exposições coletivas.
O trabalho de Paula Gaitán é marcado pela conjunção de uma visão artística profundamente pessoal com a realidade palpável. Na sua filmografia cinematográfica é composta 9 longas metragens. Em 2017 foi homenageada pela 16° Mostra de Filme Livre, no Brasil, com uma retrospectiva de sua obra.

Paula Gaitán was born in Paris in 1954. A visual artist, photographer, poet, and filmmaker with a Visual Arts degree from the University of Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, Paula Gaitán has been working in film since 1978, when she participated as an art director in Glauber Rocha’s “The Age of the Earth”. She has created several documentaries, video art, and plastic art installations for numerous collective exhibitions.
Her filmography consists of dozens of full-lenght, short films and videoart highly awarded in festivals. In the latest years her work has been receiving great attention worldwide after Luz nos Tropicos premiered at Berlinale. She had retrospective of her works in Cinemateca de Bogota, Mostra de Tiradentes, Chile, FICCi Cartagena and was one of the grantees of DAAD Residency Artists in Berlin.
